Become a Member
To be a member, you must have lived experience in the sex trade. We do not require members to identify as having been trafficked, we acknowledge that prostitution exists on a spectrum from so called choice to coercion, understanding the complexities and how prostitution and trafficking is often intertwined. It is important to recognize the wide range of harms experienced by all individuals in the sex trade and all the intersecting vulnerabilities.
You have to be 18 and committed to our mission and guiding principles, wanting to work collectively to raise awareness, advocate for policy changes based on the Equality Model. You must be interested in being part of a global survivor movement across borders, across cultures driven by a shared vision through healthy dialogue and shared actions.
We ask all those interested in joining SPACE Intl. to fill out the application below. It will then be followed up with an interview with other members, where you can learn more about what it means to be a member and ask questions (keep in mind that it is not a requirement to be public; we don’t post members on our website, nor do we require survivors to have to speak publicly to the media).
We do ask everyone to abide by our MOU, which will be sent to you after the interview, that outlines our values, principles and expected standards of conduct.
Movements are built by many not a few – with your membership we can amplify our voices, shatter the silence and misconceptions surrounding prostitution/exploitation, raise awareness and influence policies.

Please note that this is the first step to a possible SPACE Intl. membership. Once we have reviewed this application, if appropriate, we will contact you to schedule an interview with you for further consideration of membership.
